Welcome to Lykido. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service

If you are under 18:

You may not create an account. Your parent or legal guardian must create an account, which they own and control, grant you access to it, and accept responsibility for your actions using it. They will retain full control over the account until you turn 18 — including complete visibility into your activity, connections, information shared by you with others, and information shared by others with you.

Lykido believes this policy meets or exceeds the protections of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which applies to children under 13.

  1. Acceptance of Terms

    These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Lykido. By creating an account or using the service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or that your parent or legal guardian has created an account, which they own and control, and granted you access to it. You agree to comply with these terms in full.

  2. Use of Service

    You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree not to:

    1. Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
    2. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
    3. Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
    4. Use automated means to access the service without our permission
    5. Circumvent any security or access controls

  3. User Accounts

    You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

    We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

  4. Under 18 Account Policy

    Users under 18 may not create their own accounts. A parent or legal guardian:

    1. Must create an account, which they retain ownership of, and grant the minor access to it
    2. Accepts liability for actions associated with that account
    3. Retains full control over the account until the child turns 18 — including complete visibility into the minor's activity, connections, information shared by the minor with others, and information shared by others with the minor

    No account may access an account a minor has access to without the express prior authorization of the parent or guardian who created the account, granted on a case-by-case basis, and revocable at any time by the account creator.

    Lykido believes this policy meets and exceeds the protections of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), which applies to children under 13.

  5. User Content

    You retain ownership of content you submit to the service. By submitting content, you grant Lykido a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content as necessary to operate and improve the service.

    You are solely responsible for the content you submit and represent that you have all necessary rights to share it.

  6. Intellectual Property

    The service, including its design, features, and content created by Lykido, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our written permission.

  7. Copyright Infringement

    Lykido respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). We maintain a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

    If you believe content on the service infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice to our designated agent with the following information:

    1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
    2. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and its location on the service
    3. Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number, and email
    4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
    5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner
    6. Your physical or electronic signature

    Our designated DMCA agent is DMCA Agent, reachable at dmca@lykido.com.

    If your content is removed pursuant to a takedown notice, you may submit a counter-notification. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will restore the material within 10 to 14 business days unless the complaining party initiates legal action.

  8. Community Guidelines

    Lykido is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful environment for all users. The following conduct is strictly prohibited:

    1. Hate speech and discrimination — content or behavior that attacks, demeans, or incites violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic.
    2. Harassment and bullying — targeted, unwanted behavior intended to intimidate, degrade, or silence another person, including repeated unwanted contact, doxxing, coordinated campaigns against individuals, and sexual harassment of any kind.
    3. Threats and incitement to violence — direct or indirect threats of physical harm against any person or group, including encouraging or glorifying violence, self-harm, or terrorism.
    4. Spam and manipulation — unsolicited bulk messages, deceptive practices, artificial amplification of content (i.e. "engagement farming"), and any activity intended to manipulate the service or its users.
    5. Impersonation — falsely representing yourself as another person, organization, or entity in a manner intended to deceive.
    6. Illegal content — content that violates applicable law, including but not limited to child exploitation material, non-consensual intimate imagery, fraud, and the sale of prohibited goods or services.

    Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban at our sole discretion. We may report illegal activity to law enforcement.

  9. Termination

    We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

  10. Disclaimers

    The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

  11. Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lykido shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the service.

  12. Governing Law

    These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these terms or the service shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the jurisdiction in which Lykido operates.

    EU Residents: Nothing in these terms affects your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

  13. Changes to These Terms

    We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
